QUESTION:
someone, due to illness, is unable to pronounce the words correctly, what is the ruling regarding their Namaz ?
ANSWER:
If a person, due to illness, is not قادر (qadir – able) to pronounce the words correctly, then for such a person, if possible, they should make arrangements to perform prayer behind an Imam. And for Sunnah (Sunnah – emphasized practice) and Nawafil (Nawafil – voluntary prayers), or if they are unable to even pray behind an Imam, then they should recite as correctly as they can with effort; to whatever extent they can perform correct recitation, their prayer will be valid with that, and after recovery, repeating (i‘adah – repetition) will also not be necessary.
It is mentioned in Mabsut lil-Sarakhsi:
[Mabsut lil-Sarakhsi, Volume 01, Page 217]
And in Fatawa ‘Alamgiri:
