[Q 618] Calling Husband Majazi Khuda

QUESTION:

What is the ruling on wife calling her husband Majazi Khuda

ANSWER:

One should avoid calling anyone “Majazi Khuda (figurative god).”

In Fatawa Sharh Bukhari, Allama Sharif-ul-Haq Amjadi رحمۃ اللہ تعالی علیہ writes: “One should also avoid calling oneself someone’s Majazi Khuda, although this statement is not Kufr, because the word ‘Khuda’ also carries the meaning of owner (maalik), and ‘Majazi’ has specified that meaning.”
