[Q 645] Permissibility of Coco Tea

QUESTION:

I  am trekking up machu pichu mountain in peru. Many people take coca tea for altitude sickness.
Can I ask whether it is halal or haram to take.

ANSWER:

It is permissible to consume this tea, as it does not have any intoxicating affects, nor is it impure.
