Does using medicine in the ear while fasting break the fast?

Answer

Using medicine or drops in the ear while fasting does not break the fast. Similarly, if water enters the ear during fasting, the fast remains valid.
However, if a person has a perforated eardrum, then using ear drops will break the fast, as the medicine can reach the stomach through the inner ear passage.
