[Q 737] Praying Dhuhr in Last Minutes Before Asr

Question

Mufti shab what is the rulling for each namaz when u at work can u read zuher in last few minutes left to end and start aser straight after please if give me rahnomie on this.

Answer

It is obligatory to perform every prayer within its prescribed time. Therefore, if one performs Dhuhr prayer in its last time, and then performs Asr prayer after its time has begun, the prayer performed in this manner will be valid.

It should be noted that it is also necessary to perform Sunnah Mu’akkadah prayers as far as possible; and if the conditions for congregational prayer (jama’ah) being obligatory are met, then the jama’ah should not be abandoned.
