[Q 706] Mazoor’s Purity Before Salah

Question

Salam, I heard that for mazoor (someone with a valid excuse) you need to clean before salah. If this is true, is it because it might help a bit for it not to leak? And is it compulsory to clean right before salah?

الجواب بعون الملك الوهاب اللهم هداية الحق والصواب

Answer

If the impurity (najaasat) that exits from a mazoor’s body is such that after purifying the clothes, they become impure again very quickly, and there is not even enough time to perform salah while the clothes remain pure, then in this case, the person is permitted to pray without purifying the clothes again.

However, if there is sufficient time available in which salah can be performed while the clothes remain pure, then even a mazoor (someone with a valid excuse) must purify the clothes before praying. Therefore, you should act according to this explanation, whether it requires purifying right before starting salah or a little while before.
