Yes, the mentioned Hadith Mubarakah is present in Sahih Muslim. The Muhadditheen (scholars of Hadith) have explained it as follows:

The meaning of Allah عزوجل creating “al-makrooh” (disliked things) on Tuesday refers to harmful or destructive things, such as poisonous animals, insects, harmful creatures, etc.

And creating “noor” (light) on Wednesday refers to the creation of luminous bodies such as the sun, the moon, and the stars, etc. Since these bodies are in the heavens, this indicates that the heavens were created on Wednesday. Their light refers to the illumination that is between the heavens and the earth. Another opinion states that “noor” refers to the creation of goodness.

And spreading the animals in the earth on Thursday means that after creating their basic forms, Allah عزوجل dispersed different kinds of animals into various parts of the earth.

It should be remembered that considering Tuesday to be inauspicious because harmful animals were created on that day is a خلافِ شرع (contrary to Shari‘ah) belief and thought. It is necessary for Muslims to avoid this. None of the days created by Allah عزوجل are inauspicious; inauspiciousness lies in a person’s bad deeds.

The Hadith Mubarakah states:

عن أبي هريرة،قال: أخذ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بيدي فقال “خلق الله، عز وجل، التربة يوم السبت. وخلق فيها الجبال يوم الأحد. وخلق الشجر يوم الاثنين. ‌وخلق ‌المكروه يوم الثلاثاء. وخلق النور يوم الأربعاء. وبث فيها الدواب يوم الخميس. وخلق آدم، عليه السلام، بعد العصر من يوم الجمعة. في آخر الخلق. في آخر ساعة من ساعات الجمعة. فيما بين العصر إلى الليل”.

Imam Qurtubi رحمہ اللہ تعالی states:

(وخلق المكروه يوم الثلاثاء)؛ أي: ما يكره مما يهلك أو يؤلم كالسموم والخشاش والحيوانات المضرة۔۔۔والصحيح رواية النور، ويعني به الأجسام النيرة كالشمس والقمر والكواكب، ويتضمن هذا أنه تعالى خلق السماوات يوم الأربعاء؛ لأن هذه الكواكب في السماوات، ونورها: ضوؤها الذي بين السماء والأرض، والله تعالى أعلم.

Mulla ‘Ali Qari رحمہ اللہ تعالی states:

(وبث فيها الدواب) أي: فرقها في الأرض بعد خلق أصولها (يوم الخميس)، وهو لا ينافي ما سبق من أن قضاء سبع سماوات وخلقهن في يومين

Imam San‘ani رحمہ اللہ تعالی states:

(وخلق ‌المكروه) أي: كل ما يكره من دواب السموم والشرور وغيرها.۔۔۔(يوم الأربعاء) وقيل: المراد بالنور الخير فيشمل الأنهار والماء (وبث فيها الدواب) أي: فرق فيها أحادا متكثرة في جهات مختلفة والدواب جمع الدابة من الدبيب الحركة بالنفس.
