Why do we say khair mubarak?

ANSWER:

“Khair Mubarak” is generally said in response to congratulations on occasions such as Eid, Jumu‘ah (Friday), or other happy events. It is a supplicatory phrase (du‘aiya jumla – a phrase of supplication), and there is no harm in saying it.
