[Q 505] Using Electronic Jayenamaz

It is better not to use such prayer mats.
There should not be items in front of or close to a person praying that may distract attention during Salah.

As for the training of children and teaching them Salah, although using such a prayer mat is permissible, it is better to personally teach children how to pray. This is because by learning Salah through such mats, children’s attention is more likely to turn towards play, and they may begin to treat it as a toy rather than using it with proper seriousness.
