[Q 453] Timing of Morning and Evening Adhkar, When to Recite Daily Adhkar, Start and End of Morning/Evening Dhikr

QIESTION:

Respected sheikhs, for the morning and evening adhkar, when is the beginning and start time for when the morning Adhkar can be said; and when is the beginning and start time for when the evening Adhkar can be said?

ANSWER:

In Shari‘ah, the time of subh (morning) refers to: from midnight until the rising of the first rays of the sun.
The time of shām (evening) refers to: from the beginning of Zuhr time until sunset.
Therefore, wherever “morning and evening” adhkar are mentioned, these timings are intended.
From sunset until sunrise (i.e., until the end of Fajr time) is considered the night, and its half is called nisf al-layl (midnight).
