[Q 208] Ruling on Quran Recitation After Fajr Prayer

Question

Can a person read the Quran after they have read Fajar but before sunrise?

Answer

Yes, you can read the Quran, after Fajr salah up to sunrise, there is no issue with this.

However, it is better not to read Quran when the Makruh (disliked) time (meaning from sunrise up to approximately 20 minutes after) starts, and it is better to do Zikr and various litanies etc in this time instead. But keep in mind that if someone does recite the Quran during this time frame then he will not be sinful.
