[Q 183] Ruling on Praying in Darkness

Question

Praying Salah in the dark is permissible?.. I’ve heard you should be able to see the place of sujood..

Answer

It is not necessary to see the place of prostration in order for the prayer to be valid.

However, praying in such darkness that it disturbs the humility of the prayer should be avoided.
