Is praying one ayah of Surah Fatiha sufficient or is this one ayah referring to after surah Fatiha when the prayer time is Short? for example in Fajr.

الجواب بعون الملك الوهاب اللهم هداية الحق والصواب
Answer
If there is so little time in prayer that the Wajib (necessary) recitation will be missed, then in the prayers of Fajr, Jumu’ah and Eidain (both Eids), recite only one verse and bow down (do Ruku). This one verse can also be from Surah Fatiha or from anywhere else. But then these prayers will have to be repeated later.
However, if the prayer is other than the mentioned prayers, such as Zuhr, Asr, Isha, then recite Surah Fatiha in them and also add a Surah with it, even if the time during the prayer runs out, starting these prayers within the designated time would suffice, even if their completion happens after the time has passed. And it will not be necessary to repeat these prayers.
