Disclosure of Zakat to Recipient

Question

Do we need to tell someone that we are giving them zakat or can we just give the money (or say it is just to help you) and not tell them this zakat money?

Answer

It is not necessary to tell them that it is zakat, rather you can give saying gift or help or any other name.
