Taking donations from the one who sells alcohol

My relative has alcohol shop can I take his money for mosque or madrasa etc.?

The income from selling Alcohol is definitely Haram. But usually individuals who sell Alcohol have other Halal income and their wealth is mixed. In this case taking money for Zakat and other donations is permissible, however it is best to refrain from taking the money especially if the most of his income is Haram.

Remember if you are certain that the money the individual is giving is the exact money earned from selling Alcohol, then in this scenario it will be impermissible to take the money for Zakat, donations or any other purposes.
