Reciting/ touching Quran, translation or dua in the state of menses

Question

I was wondering if we are allowed to read the translation of the Quran whilst on menses?

Answer

It is not permissible to recite the Qur’an or the translation of the Qur’an, in any language, in the state of menses. Nor it is permissible to touch the Qur’an or the translation in such a state. However, apart from the Quran, it is permissible to recite azkar, du’as and salawat. Those ayaat of the Quran that have the meaning of du’a and praise and glorification of Allah تعالى  may be recited with the intention of du’a and praise and glorification.
